The Revlon Hair Tool That Tamed My Crazy Thick Hair

The Revlon Hair Tool That Tamed My Crazy Thick Hair

My Thick AF Hair

I have EXTREMELY thick, coarse, wavy/curly, long hair. Touch your pointer finger and thumb together and my ponytail is at least that thick (if not thicker). It’s a lot to deal with on a daily basis, so for the last couple of years my go-to hair style has been an Elsa-esque side braid.

I have never blow dried my hair myself (I don’t even know how to, honestly) and when my hair stylist blow drys it for me it takes for-eh-vah. One time I went to a blowout salon and it took two people to blow dry my hair. Two. Whole. People.

My typical routine is to take a shower at night, let it air dry while I sleep and throw it in a braid in the morning. I used to straighten my hair a ton, but it takes a minimum of a half hour. With an 8 month old it’s pretty much impossible to find that kind of time to dedicate to my hair on a regular basis.

Cuts My Style Time in Half

I had been curious about the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer for awhile, just recently bought it and have been using it for the last week. With this new hair tool, it takes me 10-15 minutes to get blowout-style straight hair—which I like even better than straight hair from using a straightener (ends up being too flat). Not to mention it takes less than half the time straightening with a straightener does (10-15 minutes vs. 30+ minutes). I’m not exaggerating when I say this thing is amazing! Here are some super official before and after photos:

My Process

  1. Shower before bed.

  2. Let hair air dry overnight.

  3. Blow dry / brush each section with the Revlon hair tool in sections (bottom, middle and then top). I use the ‘high’ setting.

If you have thinner and/or shorter hair than me, you could probably achieve the same results just as quickly if you did it straight out of the shower (and didn’t wait for it to air dry overnight). But I don’t have the patience to do it that way because I have so. much. hair.

In Conclusion, You Need This

Since I’ve been using the The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer, I’ve been able to wear my hair down every day (a big deal for me!). It’s probably one of the best hair tools I’ve purchased in a really, really long time…maybe ever. I still can’t get over how amazing it is and probably never will. If you hate spending a long time on your hair (or any time), I highly recommend giving this a try. Don’t suffer for almost 30 years like I did!
